OUR WAYS TO KEEP YOU UPDATED GENERALLY AND MORE PERSONALLY

WEBSITE:   We continue to work on our kura website, and it has improved but it will be continually updated, www.whakawatea.school.nz as we try to use it more and more to keep you up to date with information, provide 24/7 online learning.  Our annual maramataka will be kept updated there so that you can be kept abreast of important dates.  There are already classroom pages loaded along with classroom blogs for most classes and student learning options for your tamariki to peruse and enjoy. 

eTAP SMS APP:  This APP can do similar things to the SKOOL LOOP APP but it is specific to your own child, information, notifications, your child’s progress reports.  This APP is more customised to the individual student and makes your own child’s information more accessible.  You can access this APP from the SKOOL LOOP APP or by responding to an email that is sent from the APP.  If you haven’t received an email, let us know and we’ll re-send it, be aware it is time sensitive so the links and set up info expires after a specific time.

SKOOL LOOP APP:  we use this FREE App.  This enables us to get information to you urgently and likewise for you to send us some notifications like absences and permissions.  Please download the App and select Te Kura Amorangi o Whakawātea  asap and start using it to receive information from us and for you to notify us about some things as well.  This will really only be successful if whānau download and use the App.  It proved great last year for notifying sports info.  You can also sign up for our eTAP SMS APP where you can do similar things but it is specific to your own child and your child’s progress reports are also accessible through this APP.

FACEBOOK PAGE:   We also have a Te Kura Amorangi o Whakawātea Facebook Page where we try to let whānau know quick updates and post photos of interest for your information and enjoyment.  Go to Facebook and find Te Kura Amorangi o Whakawātea and like our page.  We do not usually respond to communication via FB, please contact us directly via email or the APPS above.
